Ava Tucker
Inducted Fall 2025
As President of the Judy Genshaft Honors College Tampa Student Council, Ava serves as a representative and advocate for Honors students while working alongside the Executive Board, Council members, and Honors College faculty and staff to create meaningful opportunities for student involvement, professional development, community, and connection.
In this role, she leads Council initiatives and events, supports committees and members, and works to make the Honors experience more engaging and accessible for students. One of her favorite parts of serving as President is getting to work with other students who are equally passionate about making a positive impact within the Honors community and the Tampa Bay area.
Vanessa Quiroz
Inducted Fall 2025
Vanessa is a Campus Director for the United Nations Millennium Fellowship. It is a leadership program developed by the United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network that empowers college students to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals through projects on their campuses and in their communities. Vanessa's role is to lead training sessions focused on leadership development and help fellows translate their intentions into meaningful social impact. She supports fellows in meeting deadlines, understanding fellowship requirements, accessing resources, and navigating challenges. Additionally, she serves as a liaison between fellows and the Millennium Campus Network team, advocating for fellows and helping communicate their needs and questions.
For her fellowship project, she is working to bring a period pantry to campus to increase access to free menstrual products and reduce period poverty. Alongside the pantry, she will provide educational resources on menstrual and sexual health, including information about menstrual irregularities and when to seek medical care, alternatives for managing menstrual pain, nutrition, and additional health and community resources.
