Savannah Woods
Trail Boss - President
Savannah Woods is a senior at the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus pursuing a B.S in Cell and Molecular Biology with minors in Classics and Spanish.
She currently works as an undergraduate researcher in the Eswara Laboratory where she studies methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and the model organism, Bacillus subtilis. Savannah also currently serves as a research coordinator for the Undergraduate Research Society and as treasurer for the American Society for Microbiology at USF. She is proud to serve as a student representative on the USF Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and as a member of the 2027 Class of Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay. Outside of school, Savannah volunteers as a docent at the Tampa Museum of Art where she delivers tours to groups of all ages. Savannah has previously worked as an emergency medical technician and field training officer and now works as a paramedic providing emergency medical services to the City of Tampa.
As Trail Boss for the Order of the Golden Brahman, she plans to apply her passion for leadership and mentorship to further the mission and legacy of the Order and its members.
Katie Orlick
Point Person - Vice President
Katie Orlick is a junior in the Judy Genshaft Honors College at the University of South Florida Tampa campus. She is pursuing a degree in History and plans on attending law school upon graduation.
On campus, Katie is the President of the Kosove Society, a Wilcox Scholar, and Community Service Chair for the Chi Omega sorority. Previously, she served as the Recruitment Chair for the Order of the Golden Brahman; her efforts led to the largest class of inductees in the organization's history. Katie was appointed to serve as the sole student representative for USF's Mapping the Future Strategic Planning Committee, where she collaborates with faculty, staff, and community leaders to devise actionable strategies for the university's continued development and success.
Katie is also involved in the local Tampa community. She has interned for United States Congresswoman Kathy Castor, where she provided assistance to constituents dealing with issues of veterans’ affairs, immigration, and social security. Additionally, she has been a messenger for the Florida House of Representatives and was selected to serve on the Hillsborough County School Board’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Katie is passionate about volunteerism and enjoys dedicating her time to underserved communities.
She is so excited to serve as the Point Person for the Order of the Golden Brahman this year and share her love of USF and the Tampa Bay community.
Ayron Espino-Nardi
Flank - Recruitment Relations
Ayron Espino-Nardi is a sophomore at the University of South Florida on the Tampa campus. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Advertising within the Judy Genshaft Honors College and the Muma College of Business.
He currently serves as a USF Ambassador, embodying "The Spirit of USF" and representing the university at public events featuring alumni, donors, and other affiliates. As a student in the Muma College of Business, Ayron is a Peer Leader within the Zimmerman Advertising Program, helping to guide freshmen and peers through the challenges of their first college semester. He is also a member of the Corporate Mentor Program, where he and his cohort work to further improve their business skills with mentorship from local Tampa Bay professionals. Around campus, Ayron also serves as an Ambassador for the Judy Genshaft Honors College, a Multimedia Correspondent for the Oracle student newspaper, and an Event Management Intern for USF Athletics.
As the 2026-2027 Flank for the Order of the Golden Brahman, Ayron is excited to use his range of experiences to serve and grow the Order and continue to promote, protect, and preserve USF for the future!
Michael Sonsol
Swing - Alumni Relations
Michael Sonsol is a sophomore at the University of South Florida pursuing a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Leadership Studies. He is interested in neuroscience research and aspires to become a research scientist focused on developing drug delivery approaches for Alzheimer's disease.
Michael currently works as an undergraduate researcher in the Yao Lab, where he studies blood-brain barrier integrity under Alzheimer's disease conditions. He also serves as a Research Coordinator for the Undergraduate Research Society, guiding undergraduate students through research projects and fostering collaborative research experiences. Previously, he served as the Professional Development Workshop Junior Coordinator for the Judy Genshaft Honors College Student Council, where he helped students develop essential professional skills.
Through his experiences in research, professional development, and leadership, Michael has developed a strong passion for supporting students and looks forward to bringing these experiences to the Order this year!
Emily Meeker
Wrangler - Treasurer and Secretary
Emily Meeker is a junior at the University of South Florida's Tampa campus and Judy Genshaft Honors College. She is pursuing a B.S. in Exercise Science and Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise and Wellness. After graduation, she plans to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
She is actively involved in campus leadership at USF, serving as the President of Circle K International, Vice President of the Judy Genshaft Honors College Tampa Student Council, and Vice President of the Future Physical Therapists Organization. She is also a founding member of the Tri-Alpha Honor Society, which recognizes the academic achievement and leadership of first-generation college students. Additionally, Emily serves as a Peer Mentor for the Judy Genshaft Honors College, where she facilitates a 10-week course for first-year Honors students. Outside of classes, she enjoys volunteering at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay as well as with the Kiwanis Club of Tampa, where she exhibits her passion of giving back to the local community.
As Wrangle of the Order of the Golden Brahman, she is excited to use her leadership, service, and mentorship experience to continue fostering excellence within the Order and promoting the university she loves.
Bill McCausland
Bos-Taurus - Advisor
Bill McCausland is the USF Alumni Association Vice President and Executive Director responsible for leading the Association in its goal to connect and engage students and alumni to assist in the University’s success. Through his leadership, the Association focuses on five key areas: alumni engagement, student enrichment, advocacy, branding, and partnering with the University.
Prior to USF, McCausland was the chief operating officer at the Ex-Students’ Association of the University of Texas, which followed a 23-year career in the telecommunication industry. He received an undergraduate degree in journalism in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the University of South Florida with an MBA in 1996.
McCausland is a co-founder of the Order of the Golden Brahman and serves as the group’s advisor.
