Katelynn Paciorek

Trail Boss - President

Katelynn Paciorek is a senior at the University of South Florida Tampa campus pursuing concurrent degrees in Environmental Science and Policy & Professional and Technical Communication. Katelynn is passionate about environmental research and serving her local community and she is excited to serve as the Trail Boss for the Order of the Golden Brahman this year.

 

Katelynn also holds positions as the President of the JGHC Student Council, Co-President of the annual Climate Teach-In, and the Vice President of the Student Philanthropy Council. Katelynn was also selected to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She works as an Intern in the Southwest Florida Water Management District's Water Quality Monitoring Program and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Dr. Spellman's Water Quality lab where she is completing an undergraduate research project.

 

She is passionate about professional development, communication, leadership skills, and inclusion and is so excited to bring her passions to the Order this year.

Jemma Parsons
Point Person - Vice President

Jemma Parsons is a junior at the University of South Florida pursuing a degree in Biomedical Sciences as part of the 7-Year B.S./M.D. Program. She is originally from NYC and is an avid cyclist and painter. In addition to being a regular volunteer at the James A. Haley VA Emergency Department and frequent observer at Tampa hospitals, Jemma is currently applying to the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine for the class of 2030.​

​

At USF, Jemma is a member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College and serves as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Paul Kuo at OneToMap Analytics and as a research trainee in the Dishaw Lab at the USF College of Pediatric Medicine.

​

Jemma is honored to serve as the Point Person for the Order of the Golden Brahman. She is dedicated to building USF's on-campus culture and emphasizing the unique qualities of USF and its student body.

Katie Orlick

Flank - Recruitment Relations

Katie Orlick is a sophomore at the University of South Florida Tampa campus. She is pursuing a degree in History and plans on attending law school upon graduation. 

​

On campus, Katie is a Wilcox Scholar, member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College, member of Chi Omega sorority, and serves as Vice President of Community Service for the Kosove Society. Katie is also involved in the local Tampa community. She has interned for United States Congresswoman Kathy Castor, where she provided assistance to constituents dealing with issues of veterans’ affairs, immigration, and social security. Additionally, she has been a messenger for the Florida House of Representatives and was selected to serve on the Hillsborough County School Board’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Katie is passionate about volunteerism and enjoys dedicating her time to underserved communities. 

​

She is so excited to serve as the Flank for the Order of the Golden Brahman this year and share her love of USF and the Tampa Bay community.

Anandita Makkar
Swing - Alumni Relations

Anandita Makkar is a senior biomedical science major dedicated to contributing to the future of therapeutic discoveries. She works toward this goal by investigating breast cancer treatment responses for Moffitt Cancer Research.

​

Anandita’s experience includes leading research initiatives on hormonal dysregulation and its effects on conditions like PCOS. She works to address critical issues in women’s health and has advocated for student wellness on campus as a peer health educator.

Savannah Woods

Wrangler - Treasurer and Secretary

​Savannah Woods is a junior at the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus pursuing a B.S in Cell and Molecular Biology with minors in Classics and Spanish.

 

She currently works as an undergraduate researcher in the Eswara Laboratory where she is conducting her honors thesis in the field of Staphylococcus aureus cell division. Savannah also currently serves as a research coordinator for the Undergraduate Research Society and has formerly held positions on the executive boards of the Health Policy and Advocacy Coalition as well as the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Savannah has previously worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and Field Training Officer and now works as a Paramedic providing emergency medical services to the City of Tampa.

 

As Wrangler for the Order of the Golden Brahman, she plans to apply her skills in leadership, multi-tasking, and organization to further the mission and legacy of the Order and its members.

Bill McCausland

Bill McCausland is the USF Alumni Association Vice President and Executive Director responsible for leading the Association in its goal to connect and engage students and alumni to assist in the University’s success. Through his leadership, the Association focuses on five key areas: alumni engagement, student enrichment, advocacy, branding, and partnering with the University.

 

Prior to USF, McCausland was the chief operating officer at the Ex-Students’ Association of the University of Texas, which followed a 23-year career in the telecommunication industry. He received an undergraduate degree in journalism in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the University of South Florida with an MBA in 1996.

​

McCausland is a co-founder of the Order of the Golden Brahman and serves as the group’s advisor.
